Global Labour Leaders Seal 31 Agreements To Boost Jobs, Training Opportunities
The Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), has experienced the signing of 31 contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) in between different entities, aiming to supply countless training chances and tasks for the worldwide workforce. This arrangement was signed at the 2nd edition of the GLMC 2025, introduced in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by His Excellency Engineer Ahmad Bin Salman Alrajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, along with 40 labour ministers. Data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), approximately 67 million young people are currently out of work, and nearly 20 percent of individuals aged 15 to 54 are either employed or taken part in education, institutions, or training programmes. These statistics have also shown that nearly 40 percent of employers report problems in filling vacancies due to an inequality between workforce abilities and labour market demands, with youth unemployment going beyond 30 percent in some areas internationally. Related News

Highlighting the significance of these agreements, Alrajhi said « These figures highlight the immediate need to establish detailed techniques to address these common challenges efficiently. » « Transforming them into chances, ultimately we can all collaborate to make sure the prosperity of our economies, neighborhoods, and labor forces. » The minister also noted that the contracts focus on improving operational performance, fostering innovation, and driving value development in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. Key entities associated with these agreements consist of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), the International Labour Organization (ILO), Takamol Holding, INSEAD, UiPath, Bella Vista Institute of Higher Education, the Saudi Logistics Academy, the Ministry of Tourism, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The GLMC’s MOU will see a number of noteworthy collaborations emerged. INSEAD will supply academic services, while partnerships with Space Faculty and ProFun will explore development and knowledge sharing. Bella Vista Institute and the Saudi Logistics Academy will provide tailored training programmes focused on management development and capacity building. The Ministry of Tourism inked MoUs with Marriott Hotels and Arabian Airports to develop workforce qualifications and job training efforts. Princess Nourah University partnered with SEA Ventures to foster entrepreneurship advancement. A significant advancement is the facility of the Kaspersky Knowledge Transfer Centre, designed to advance cybersecurity skills amongst trainees and the workforce, amongst others. Share
