JHA Employment, Training Program Celebrates Brand-new Graduates<\/b><\/p>\n

The Johnstown Housing Authority’s Employment<\/a> and Training Program commemorated 8 graduates of the program’s second mate who entered a brand-new stage of life Friday.<\/p>\n

The event at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in Richland Township marked a clean slate for the graduates, who are set to look for more education or work in the Johnstown location, said JHA Executive Director Mike Alberts.<\/p>\n

For the previous four months, those registered in the program completed courses offered by a partnership among Penn Highlands, Johnstown Area Regional Industries and PA CareerLink.<\/p>\n

The program consisted of courses supplied at Johnstown public housing community spaces to get rid of participants’ transport barriers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The of dispute management, task search and interview skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, and life skills management, as well as school outing for a robotics bootcamp and tours of technology-based production business consisting of Kitron and Compass Systems.<\/p>\n

The event Friday celebrated the 8 graduates of the program while acknowledging dozens more who registered, but pulled out after finding employment or other more education opportunities along the method.<\/p>\n
